Green Wing Macaws

Both babies are sold and have gone to live with their new families!

At about 5 months.
Shiloh (first picture) is at his new home and getting really involved with playing with a toy.
Phoenix (second picture) wasn't sold at the time of the picture.
Just making friends while waiting for the right family to come along.

.

At about 4 months.
Having breakfast with the family and hanging out on our perch.
.

At about 2 1/2 months (March 27).
We're not satisfied with standing on a low perch - the highest one is for us now!
.

At two months (March 13). We each weigh 1300+ grams.
We're big birds now - we can perch! Bet you can't tell which one of us is 3 days older.
..
.

At 47 and 50 days (March 1). It's harder to tell the two babies apart.
The younger has less head feathers and is a little lighter in weight.
.
.

Youngest at 38 days (Feb 20)
Notice the feathers starting on his head. They all go from one side of his head to the other.
He looks like he has a pin feather comb over.
.

Now here is the youngest at 28 days. (Feb 10)
He's got a lot more grey fuzz and his pin feathers are starting to develop.
.

Here they are at 21 and 24 days of age. (Feb 2)
Their eyes are open, they have balance, and they are getting "5 o'clock shadow".

.

You'd hardly know it, but these lumps of butt, belly, & beak are baby green wing macaws.
Here they are at 14 and 17 days (Jan 26) just before being fed and then full and satisfied.
